Although many of the certainties of life are troubling, we have assurance in Jesus - the one who walked in love and called darkness to the light. Therefore, we can walk in confidence in our mission to reach 11-19 year olds who feel overlooked.

God has provided our community great opportunity to address the problems teens are facing, problems like: isolation, hopelessness, loneliness, stress, and suicide, through the work of Heartland Youth For Christ. He builds his army through prayers, adult leaders, and financial provision.

Prayers

 Prayer is critical to our ministry. Please pray for the staff, volunteers, and that youth would come to know Christ.

People

We need adult leaders to minister directly with youth and to work behind the scenes.

HOW DO WE MEMC?

  • Increase the number of trusted adult relationships in young people's lives.

  • Give each young person the experience of being noticed.

  • Commit to knowing the names of the youth we serve.

  • Provide a place where youth can be known without judgement

  • Practice intentionality in all areas of ministry and all interaction.

Whether it be at a Campus Life Breakfast Club, at a park during a City Life event, or at a Small Group meeting, Heartland YFC (HYFC) gets access to a small part of each youth’s day - and life.  At Heartland YFC we know now more than ever that today’s youth are up against isolation, loneliness, stress, hopelessness, and even suicide.  With the little time we have, and those realities in mind, we are on a mission to MAKE EVERY MOMENT COUNT and increase opportunities to spread the Gospel to the youth we serve.
